Seventh Drop

— Ouka —

Having rescued Miu from the Unveiled Palace, Yuri still remains clueless about Hisoka's whereabouts.

The only remaining leads are a single photograph captured by the Camera Obscura and the vision witnessed within Hisoka's jade bead.

Hisoka is somewhere upstream of that river.

Clinging to a sliver of hope, Yuri prepares to head toward the water source at the mountain peak: the "Lake of the Beyond"...

Location: Unveiled Palace Station

Exiting the station grounds, she follows the trace into the deep mountain path.

Advancing forward toward the fork, she spots a trace: Hisoka Kurosawa Heading Deeper Inside.

Following the trail to the approach of the Unveiled Palace, she spots another trace heading into a right side-path: Hisoka Kurosawa Walking on Side-Path.

Following it into the Yomotsu Road triggers an encounter with the hostile spirit Flame Keeper.
After defeating him, she moves forward to the Vale of Shadows.

Location: Vale of Shadows

Advancing along the path to the fork before the Unconsecrated Graveyard, she turns upper-left to a terrace with cherry blossoms, where she encounters a specter: Tall Woman.
Retracing her steps along the western passage lower-left triggers an ambush by the hostile spirit Man Carrying Casket.

Continuing along the mountain path next to the upper-left Twilit Border, she uncovers a document before a stone statue: Hisoka's Notebook 2.

Yuri: 'It seems Hisoka really came here.'
Moving forward, she opens the gate into the Twilit Border.

Location: Twilit Border

Stepping through the gate, she catches phantoms fleeing: Boy Running Away and two Girls Running Away.

Following the trace leads her to the Pillar Jizo, where she spots a trace: Hisoka Kurosawa Walking before Jizo.
Following the trail to a three-way intersection, she heads right first into the Katashiro Inner Shrine.

To the right side of the Inner Shrine, she collects the document Origin of the Inner Shrine.

Opening the Inner Shrine reveals a cabinet filled with old dolls, but several figures seem missing from the center.
Photographing the glow on the floor yields a Psychic Vision containing three clues: Shadow Behind Jizo, Shadow Inside Altar, and Shadow Peeping from Ridgepole.

Capturing these hidden phantoms is necessary to recover the missing dolls for the Inner Shrine.

Aiming at the roof of the Inner Shrine reveals the Shadow Peeping from Ridgepole, rewarding her with Inner Shrine Effigy 3.
Heading back down the path to the Jizo altar before the fork and photographing it captures the Shadow Inside Altar, yielding Inner Shrine Effigy 1.
Returning to the row of Jizo where she previously tracked Hisoka, photographing the center statue among the five Jizo figures captures the Shadow Behind Jizo, rewarding her with Inner Shrine Effigy 2.

Returning to the Inner Shrine and placing the three gathered effigies rewards her with Upgrade Lens: See.

Returning to the three-way intersection and heading left, she spots a trace before the Casket Mound: Hisoka Kurosawa Walking in Twilit Border.

Following it into the Casket Mound triggers an ambush by the hostile spirit Kureha.

Kureha aims the Mirror of Magatsuhi in her hands at Yuri, casting a blinding light that causes Yuri to lose consciousness as she is sealed into a casket. Kureha slowly approaches, whispering: 'Become a pillar.'

Before the casket lid seals entirely, Yuri uses the Camera Obscura to strike back at Kureha. Seizing a moment of distraction, Yuri breaks free from the casket.
She recalls that Haruka had been sealed inside a casket in the exact same manner using that mirror.

Defeating Kureha yields her dropped items: Black-Covered Notebook 1, Water-Carved Diary 1, and Upgrade Lens: Fatal.

Exiting the Casket Mound, she spots a final trace: Hisoka Kurosawa Heading to Lake.

Location: Lake of the Beyond

Following the path to the Lake of the Beyond, she catches a final trace near the submerged torii gate: Hisoka Kurosawa Standing by Lake Edge.

As she approaches her, Hisoka's phantom dissolves entirely into the thick mist over the water, and the hostile spirit of the black-robed bride materializes to attack!

During this encounter, dodge her movements and focus entirely on evasion; after evading her strikes a few times, Yuri successfully escapes down the mountain...

Epilogue

Yuri pursued Hisoka's shadow all the way to the Lake of the Beyond. Yet, Hisoka dissolved into the heavy mist over the water, leaving Yuri to face only the "dark-shadowed woman" from the photograph.

The Camera Obscura proved entirely useless against the woman's dark shadow, leaving Yuri with no choice but to flee continuously.

Deep within the dense fog blanketing the Lake of the Beyond, the silhouette of a massive torii gate loomed. Would Hisoka truly be waiting there...?
