Tracking Mayu's spiritual trail with the Spirit Glow Lens, Mio discovers her sister entered the Kiryu House, but the front doors are locked tight.
A glowing crimson butterfly flutters down ('Vanishing: Pleading Butterfly').
Following the butterfly's guidance, Mio enters the estate through the back entrance.
Climbing the stairs and opening the left door to the Heavenly Bridge, Mio captures Mayu's back on the walkway ('Vanishing: Mayu on Heavenly Bridge'). However, the door leading across to the Tachibana House is locked.
Turning to retrace her steps, a door suddenly bursts open and a gruesome spirit ('Hostile: Broken Neck Woman') lunges violently!
After repelling the spirit, Mio steps out and aims left, capturing the folklorist's phantom ('Vanishing: Man Heading to Study').
Crossing the Sliding Screen Hallway, Mio uses 'Reveal' into the room, photographing a studious figure ('Bound: Man in Study').
Near the frame, she finds 'Folklorist's Note 1' and retrieves 'Folklorist's Note 12' deep within the study.
Descending the stairs, the shadow of a young man dashes ahead ('Vanishing: Youth Heading In').
Mio follows him into the Projector Room as it opens, capturing him operating the device ('Vanishing: Youth Starting Projector') and retrieving 'Photo: Minakami Bridge' at his feet.
Before heading to the bridge, Mio stops behind the storehouse to seek Itsuki's counsel.
Through the wooden bars, Itsuki warns with deep sorrow:
'Yae... have you found Sae? Across the bridge... in the cemetery... the Kiryu Front Key might be hidden there... Find the key quickly and bring Sae back. Yae... both of you must escape... you must not perform that ritual.'
Leaving Itsuki for Misono, Mio zooms toward the Osaka House eaves from the high ground, capturing 'Twin Doll 41'.
Heading west in Misono, Mio uses 'Reveal' near the broken bridge to uncover a deep tree hollow. She captures a man heading toward the cemetery ('Vanishing: Man Heading to Cemetery') and uses 'Reveal' again to restore the vanished Minakami Bridge.
Crossing over to the Minakami Cemetery, Mio finds 'Twin Doll 31' near the save lantern.
Walking to the end of the right path, she captures the investigating folklorist ('Vanishing: Man Surveying Cemetery').
On the left side of the cemetery, Mio captures phantoms and collectibles ('Vanishing: Man Hiding Key', 'Twin Doll 32', 'Twin Doll 33'), picking up the crucial 'Kiryu Front Key' where the spirit knelt.
Rushing back to the Kiryu House front doors, Mio unlocks and enters. A girl encircled by butterflies flits past ('Vanishing: Girl Surrounded by Butterflies').
Aiming through the hole in the right wall, she captures a silent doll watching ('Vanishing: Staring Doll').
Entering the Hanging Doll Room and opening the north door, she captures twin girls and a doll drifting away ('Vanishing: Girl Vanishing', 'Doll Vanishing', 'Twins Vanishing').
In the Altar Room, Mio photographs 'Twin Doll 16' through the wall hole. In the Central Tatami Room, she opens the closet to find 'Twin Doll 10'. In the Deluxe Tatami Room, she captures a woman peeking ('Vanishing: Woman Peeking through Screen') and catches a girl watching projections at the end of the hallway ('Vanishing: Girl Watching Images').
Entering the Twins' Room on the left, Mio captures the seated twins and doll ('Vanishing: Sitting Elder Twin', 'Sitting Younger Twin', 'Sitting Twins'), finding 'Purple Diary 2' and 'Dollmaker's Note 1'.
Opening the north door into the Flickering Hallway, lighting shifts violently as Mio is ambushed from both sides—'Hostile: Twin Doll' and 'Hostile: Twin Spirit' lunge with shrieking laughter!

After a harrowing fight, Mio reaches the end of the hallway and photographs a tormented man ('Vanishing: Regretful Man').
Dollmaker Yoshitatsu Kiryu's grief echoes: 'Akane... must be so sorrowful...'
Entering the Doll Room, Mio picks up 'Dollmaker's Note 3' on the table.
Mio examines the mechanism: 'Activating this will lead underground to the house where Mayu is... I need to repair the broken doll...'
Suddenly, a girl's hollow cry sounds behind her: 'Kill me...'
Mio turns and captures her ('Vanishing: Girl Wanting Doll Slain'), finding 'Dollmaker's Note 4' in the crate behind her.
Following the hallway to the junction and turning left, Mio captures a guiding girl ('Vanishing: Girl Leading to Parts'). She finds 'Twin Doll 11' nearby, then enters the Windowed Storeroom to obtain the 'Japanese Doll Left Arm'.
Approaching the adjacent door, it swings open, and Mio photographs the girl ('Vanishing: Girl Opening Door'). Pausing by the window lattice, she captures a boy peeking in ('Vanishing: Peeking Boy').
In the Staircase Hallway, she aims into the broken hole at the end before climbing, capturing a hidden man ('Vanishing: Man behind Wall').
Upstairs, turning right into Servants' Room East, she picks up 'Purple Diary 1'. Entering Servants' Room South, she captures Seijiro searching bookshelves ('Vanishing: Man at Bookshelf') and finds 'Folklorist's Note 7'.
In the Storeroom, she captures a girl by the crate ('Vanishing: Girl in front of Crate'). Using 'Reveal', she uncovers a hidden chest containing the 'Japanese Doll Right Arm', 'Dollmaker's Note 2', and 'Dolomite'.
Defeating an ambush in Servants' Room East, she enters Servants' Room North to find 'Twin Doll 17'. In the west storeroom, she retrieves the 'Maid's Note'.
Climbing the stairs to the Elevated Tatami Room, she retrieves 'Dollmaker's Note 5' from the large storeroom crate.
Suddenly, 'Hostile: Twin Doll' attacks with screams of 'Why did you kill me...!'
Banishing the doll, Mio enters the Open Hallway, finds 'Purple Diary 3' in the storeroom chest, and aims down from the railing gap to capture the guiding girl ('Vanishing: Guiding Girl').
Heading down to the High-Ceiling Room, she banishes 'Hostile: Woman Falling' and photographs the girl by the chest ('Vanishing: Girl Staring at Chest'). Inside, she retrieves the 'Japanese Doll Head' and 'Spodumene'.
Mio sighs in relief: 'Now I can fix the doll...'
Returning to the Doll Room, Mio reassembles the head and arms onto the mechanical doll, but it remains motionless.
'Is something still missing?'
In the hallway, she captures a grieving man ('Vanishing: Grieving Man').
Back in the Altar Room, she aims through the wall opening to capture the horrific patricide ('Vanishing: Father Slain by Daughter', 'Girl Slaying Father', 'Kiryu Father and Daughter'), dispelling the blood seal on the adjacent door.
Entering the Unopenable Room, she collects 'Dollmaker's Note 7' and 'Mechanism Instructions'.
Turning right outside, she captures the dollmaker hiding an item ('Vanishing: Man Hiding Soul'). Mio finds the glass eyes inserted in a doll, but as she reaches out, 'Hostile: Mechanist' attacks! Defeating him, she obtains the 'Glass Eyes'.

Mio turns in terror as Sae Kurosawa advances with mad laughter! Mio aims her Camera Obscura and fires, but the flash leaves Sae completely unharmed!
In a heartbeat, Sae's twisted, laughing face is inches away. Panicking, Mio stumbles and runs, accidentally dropping the Camera Obscura with a loud clatter onto the stone floor...
With the laughing phantom close behind, Mio has no time to retrieve it and flees in tears across the Earthen Bridge into the Tachibana House...
