First Appearance Hall
After piecing everything together, Ruka finally understands that the disappearances and deaths eight years ago were sacrifices to her father Sōya's obsession. On that day, Sakuya, who should have remained a comatose 'vessel', awoke as a being that 'should never have awakened'.
As the moment of the Lunar Eclipse approaches, Ruka is determined to end the tragedy to atone for her father's grave mistakes.
The Lunar Eclipse has begun.
Stepping into the Mask Casting Hall, the sound of her father forging masks echoes in her childhood memories, though his face remains blurred...
On the tables, she finds Sōya's Scrawled Handwriting and About the Lunar Eclipse Mask.
At the altar, she retrieves Sōya's Notes 3.
The notes reveal a desperate truth:
Once Sakuya 'blooms', anyone who sees her face will bloom as well. Her father has gone to the 'Silent Place' to witness this destruction...
The Day of No Suffering.
A cold wind blows from the altar. Pushing it aside, a hidden passage reveals itself, leading to the path of meditation.
Path of Meditation
Descending the stairs, she glimpses the Ghost: Sakuya roaming the island 1.
Further down, the Ghost: Sakuya roaming the island 2 reappears as if guiding her.
At the third flight of stairs, the Ghost: Sakuya roaming the island 3 disappears ahead. Following it, she reaches the Meditation Cave.
Meditation Cave
As she proceeds, Ghost: Takahisa Sendō attacks from the darkness. After defeating him, she crawls through a small hole to the first junction.
Going left, she finds Sōya's Notes 4.
Returning to the junction and continuing to the second split, she sees the Ghost: Sakuya going to meet someone in the right passage.
Following her, at the end, she finds the Ghost: Sōya awaiting destruction.
In front of him, she retrieves Sōya's Notes 5.
Turning around, the Ghost: Sakuya heading to the exit appears behind her.
Back at the junction, she heads to an iron door. Passing through the cave, she watches the Ghost: Sakuya heading to Tsukiyomi Beach.
Below the cave wall, she finds Arrival of the Day of No Suffering.
Tsukiyomi Beach
Stepping out of the cave, Tsukiyomi Beach spreads out. On the sand, the Ghost: People collapsed on the shore lie in a re-enactment of the tragedy.
Proceeding, she sees the Ghost: People gathered at the torii silent and still.
A cave entrance to the lighthouse appears. Inside, she watches the Ghost: Lunar Eclipse Sakuya heading to the gate pass through.
Just as she approaches, Ghost: Tsubaki Tōno appears. After defeating her, she enters the lighthouse.
Tsukiyomi Beach Lighthouse
Descending the stairs, her father's ghost blocks the way. He screams frantically: Sakuya's face is the mask, and everyone will bloom! He attacks.
After the battle, she retrieves Sōetsu Yōgetsu's Notes.
Climbing the spiral stairs, she is blocked again. Further up, he attacks a third time. After defeating him, she gets Sōya's Notes 6 and Black Mask Fragment (Forehead).
All fragments are gathered. Assembling them completes the Lunar Eclipse Mask.
The stairs lead to two levels. Going down, she captures the Ghost: Tsukimori Miko on the stone pillar.
Upstairs, she finds the Ghost: Lunar Eclipse Sakuya standing on the lighthouse looking into the distance.
She spots the Ghost: Sayaka waiting silently. She finds Legend of the Tsukimori Song there.
Tsukimori Shrine
At the top of the lighthouse is the Tsukimori Shrine. It is the end of everything, the final battle against Ghost: Lunar Eclipse Sakuya.
After winning, she must play the 'Tsukimori Song' on the piano using the Tsukimori Song Sheet. She has only three chances; if she fails, Sakuya will awaken and the battle restarts. Her fingers must not falter.
As the melody flows, the true 'Rite of Descent' is activated.
Before Misaki enters the hall, she hears Madoka calling her not to go, but there is no other choice... They reconcile.
Ruka's Zero Domain is the same as the words Sakuya scribbled in the Forbidden Palace.
Moon, reflection, moon. Appearing in a quiet, dense forest. Nothing at all. See you next time. See you next time.
Ending
Ten years after the Rite of Descent, the night of the Lunar Eclipse returns. Sakuya will 'bloom' today. She must use the mask and the 'correct music' to purify Sakuya.
Climbing the lighthouse, Ruka confronts Sakuya. Using the song her mother taught her and the mask her father made, she succeeds in purifying Sakuya.
The Gate of the Yellow Springs opens, and the spirits of the dead can finally return. Ruka sees her father's spirit and regains her memories—he was always protecting her, stern yet gentle. She has no chance to speak, but he returns through the gate.
Ruka regains all memories, playing the song forever—never to awaken bad memories again. Perhaps due to the mask and song, she sees a peaceful scene of time stopped: the moon on a quiet lake in a forest—the Zero Domain her father sought.
